Job Description:

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) of the Department of Homeland Security has immediate openings for 300 temporary positions in all 5 boroughs of New York City. Candidates will work on foot in affected localities and communicate with persons affected by the Hurricane Sandy disaster to identify their disaster related needs and offer information on what assistance is available and how to obtain it. Candidates should possess strong computer, communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Candidates who are bi-lingual are strongly preferred. Wage is $13-$15 per hour plus overtime pay. Hours are 7 AM to 7 PM, 7 days per week. Must be eighteen years of age and a US Citizen or legally able to work in the US. A background check will be performed.
